Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DigiSoundBox mobile application ("the App") provided by One91 Networks Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of the Service
DigiSoundBox is a notification assistant application. It reads payment notifications from apps and SMS messages on your device and announces them via text-to-speech. The App:
- Does NOT process, transfer, hold, or manage any money or financial instruments
- Does NOT act as a bank, payment processor, payment gateway, or financial service provider
- Does NOT guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of notifications
- Does NOT replace your bank's official notifications, statements, or records
2. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
The App, its developers, publishers, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall NOT be held liable for:
- Any financial losses, damages, or expenses arising from missed, delayed, or incorrect notifications
- Any losses resulting from undetected fraud, phishing, or scam messages
- Any losses resulting from incorrect transaction classification or misidentification of transaction types
- Any losses arising from the Team Sync feature, including but not limited to unauthorized access by invited members
- Any consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or indirect damages of any kind
- Any interruption or failure of the service due to device limitations, network issues, or third-party service outages
Your use of the App is entirely at your own risk. You acknowledge that no software can guarantee 100% accuracy in notification detection, classification, or fraud prevention.
3. Fraud and Phishing Detection
The App includes on-device fraud and phishing detection features. These features:
- Use pattern matching and heuristics — they are not guaranteed to detect all threats
- May produce false positives (flagging legitimate messages as threats) or false negatives (missing actual threats)
- Are provided as an additional safety layer only — not as a replacement for your own judgement
- Should NOT be relied upon as the sole means of fraud protection
You are solely responsible for independently verifying all financial communications, SMS messages, and notifications before acting on them.
4. User Responsibilities
By using the App, you agree to:
- Grant only the permissions you are comfortable with
- Independently verify all financial transactions and communications
- Not rely solely on the App for fraud detection or financial record-keeping
- Maintain the security of your device and the App
- Not use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or fraudulent purpose
- Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
- Not use the App to collect or harvest data from other users
5. ML Data and Intellectual Property
When you correct a transaction classification, the App generates anonymous numerical feature vectors. By using the correction feature, you agree that:
- The anonymized correction data (feature vectors, categories, and hit counts) becomes the property of One91 Networks Pte. Ltd.
- This data may be used to train, improve, and distribute ML models for all users of the App
- No personally identifiable information is included in this data
- You may opt out of ML sync at any time via App settings
6. Team Sync Feature
The Team Sync feature allows you to share transaction metadata with invited team members. By using this feature:
- You acknowledge that shared data is transmitted via Google Firebase and is subject to Firebase's terms and security
- You are responsible for managing access — inviting and revoking members
- We are not liable for any misuse of shared data by your invited members
- OTP messages are never shared regardless of your settings
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase, Google Play Services, Google AdMob, and OneSignal. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use the App to:
- Engage in any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized activity
- Intercept, collect, or monitor communications of others without consent
- Distribute, sell, or commercially exploit the App or its data without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, networks, or infrastructure
- Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the App.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless One91 Networks Pte. Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Singapore Regulatory Compliance
15.1 Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA)
We comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012. Your personal data is collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with the PDPA. You may withdraw consent for data collection at any time by disabling ML sync in Settings or uninstalling the App. For data access or correction requests under the PDPA, contact our Data Protection Officer at support@digisoundbox.com. We will respond within 30 business days as required by the PDPA.
15.2 Electronic Transactions Act (Cap. 88)
These Terms constitute a valid electronic contract under the Electronic Transactions Act of Singapore. By installing and using the App, you provide your electronic consent to these Terms. Records of your acceptance are maintained electronically.
15.3 Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (CPFTA)
We are committed to fair trading practices. The App's features and limitations are described accurately in these Terms, our website, and the Google Play Store listing. If you believe any representation is misleading, please contact us immediately at support@digisoundbox.com.
15.4 Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)
DigiSoundBox is a software application and does not operate as a telecommunications service. It does not intercept communications — it reads notifications that the Android operating system makes available to authorized notification listener services with explicit user permission.
15.5 Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
DigiSoundBox is NOT a financial service, payment service, or e-money service as defined under the Payment Services Act 2019 or any regulation administered by MAS. It does not hold, transfer, or process funds. No license from MAS is required or held for the operation of this App.
16. International Users
If you access the App from outside Singapore:
- These Terms are still governed by Singapore law
- You are responsible for compliance with your local laws regarding notification access, data privacy, and financial regulations
- The App may not meet specific regulatory requirements in your jurisdiction
- Data may be transferred internationally (servers in Germany, Firebase in Singapore)
- EU/EEA users have additional rights under GDPR as described in our Privacy Policy
- Indian users: This App is not regulated by RBI, NPCI, or SEBI. It is a notification assistant only.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and One91 Networks Pte. Ltd. regarding the use of DigiSoundBox. Any prior agreements, representations, or understandings are superseded by these Terms.
